Congratulations on the purchase of your new puppy from Cupidtown,  Our buyers will be directed to this site for information on how to properly care for their new adoption.  Also, if you have any questions, we are always just an email away!

Your puppy will have been wormed, vaccinated, and properly raised from birth, now it is up to you to make sure the puppy continues on the path we started him on.

Please do not change your puppy's diet or you may cause digestive problems.  Keep your puppy away from other pets until properly introduced,  Do not take your puppy where other dogs may have also visited until the puppy is fully vaccinated.  When the puppy is around younger children, please ensure proper supervision for the puppy's safety.  Do not leave your puppy/dog outside in extremes of weather, too hot or too cold.  For cold weather, we do sell dog clothes here to ensure their protection and comfort.  Hot weather keep your puppy inside in a cool environment.  Avoid travelling with your puppy in the car during very hot days.

Remember, puppies are just like babies and do need to rest.  Make sure your puppy has his own bed and an area where he can feel comfortable to sleep.  Do not let your puppy become overtired.

Make sure the puppy has access to fresh drinking water at all times and is fed on a regular basis.  We do not feed raw meat or chicken.  Toys should be puppy safe.

Your puppy will be accustomed to eating Pal Puppy Dry Food (rice based) during the day, and will enjoy the Pedigree Alphabet dog biscuits, both available from your local supermarket.  Also Pets Own Milk with a little added glucose.  Feed several small meals of these three times a day.

Main Evening Meal:

Cook grounded human grade hamburger mince meat or minced chicken meat.  To this add some cooked rice and pasta.  In your food processer, finely ground raw carrot, parsley, celery, a little silverbeet or spinach (when available) and add this to your cooked meat etc. with a tablespoon of Olive Oil.  I cook two kilos of meat at a time, you can do the same and once all blended you can freeze and use as you go.

I advise against feeding onion in any amount or any kind. And I also advise against using raw garlic.

Add two tablespoons Petvite multi vitamin and mineral powder, and 10 mls liquid Calcium.

Also add some shredded cheese and from time to time, add some diced boiled egg, or sardines (cat tin food is okay) to the above mixture as you serve.

Serve at room temperature.  Never feed your puppy big chunks of meat or your adult dog for that matter.
