| I met Anne Roditis several years ago - on an email list pertaining
to poms - and other little dogs. I have had poms for about 10 years, and yorkies for about 10 years prior to that. Information, both health and breeding, have always been very important to me - and have several books. Over the years, Anne was always helping others on the list, with her knowledge, she was always the first one to jump in with information on the problem. She has formal education on animals, and their health, but always advised that people need to check in with their vet. Last summer I had a problem litter, ended up losing 2 puppies and almost the mother. Anne was a Godsend, she sent me information, went so far as to send me a feeding tube/bottle for the one remaining puppy, as the mom was so ill she could not nurse the baby. At the constant begging of Anne's friends, list members who we all consider family, she agreed to put her knowledge in print - for all to take advantage of - it is a wonderful book and very reasonably priced - well within everyone's financial reach. The book is well written, researched, and I think is a must-have for all dog owners. I have purchased several books, and one is at our local pet store as an illustration. | I have been breeding Pekes for 32 years and I don't think there has been a book on dogs published that I have not bought and read. I have quite a collection as one may imagine. I would recommend "Let's Talk Dogs" to other breeders. There is so much knowledge, excellent tips, and worthwhile remedies in this book. I don't know the author personally, but I am very happy she wrote this book. I do hope others who buy the book will take the time to commend her for her efforts. An excellent contribution to the Dog World. Elizabeth Simmons (United Kingdom) |
